What time is it?

Well, if you know these guys (no, that's not a ribbon up there), you'd know the answer... which is...

ADVENTURE TIME!!!

I got addicted to this very epic cartoon just recently.

Sometimes, the son of my sister's best friend, my sort-of nephew, comes over to our house. I babysit him so I watch over him when he watches cartoons. Most of the cartoons nowadays don't make sense. That's what I thought. Actually, many of the cartoons back when I was kid didn't make sense either. (Weird. But they'll still be classics for me.) Anyway, one cartoon stood out. It was about a boy who wanted to be a hero.

And that boy is and always will be a hero for me and my nephew.

Sigh. (Finn, if only you knew, you're my cartoon crush, my 13 year old Cloud Strife with an awesome hat.)

But Finn isn't the only eye-catching character of the show. Fans of Adventure Time certainly marvel at the yellow dog with streeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetchyyy~~~~~~ powers... Jake!! Jake is the brother of Finn. I know. How can a dog be a brother of a human boy? You'll just have to find out for yourself!

Jake isn't the only magical creature in the Land of Ooo. (Yes, that's the name of their country/world.) Candy people roam the Candy Kingdom with Princess Bubblegum, the crush of Finn, as their ruler.

And she's really made up of Bubblegum!

There's my favorite, Marceline, the Vampire Queen. Man, she knows how to rock--really rooooock! She turned the family heirloom into an axe bass! A super badass axe bass! And!! She sings too! Marceline is the contrast to the mostly colorful land of Ooo, and I love her for that. Hihi. She has pale gray skin and fangs, just like a real vampire. But she's incomparable to some other vampire I know of. :-"

What is a cartoon without a little conflict? But then, this part is sad. Really sad.

The Ice King is the main antagonist of the show, but then I don't think it's ever really on purpose. Weird, ryt? Weird and AWESOME. He's not your ordinary evil antagonist. I bet he was a sweet heart before. But I'll leave that for you to decide. (I even think it's Marceline's dad who is the most evil of them all. Oh well.)

I saved the best for last. The Land of Ooo isn't just some random place Pendleton Ward came up with. Although the place is very rich in bright colors, one can see the remnants of a past ***, which they call the ******** ***.

(*background music* Oooooooooooohhhhhh!)

P. S. Did I tell you guys that the characters live musical lives? Haha! Almost every other episode, the characters do a musical number. You get to hear Jeremy Shada's very handsome talking AND singing voice! Enjoy!

I've finally decided to give in to my sister. She wanted me to start a blog where I could post my alleged creativity--my writings, my photographs, etc. She believes that I can do so much with sharing to the world what I actually can do. I don't want to fail her now.

So.

Here it goes.
